Acura TSX A-SPEC Concept
What's Special About It?
With a full load of accessories courtesy of Honda's aftermarket department, this TSX concept sports an aggressive look that the stock model simply can't match. Much of the credit goes to the new bodywork that includes a reshaped front bumper, deeper air dam, lower side skirts and a rear deck spoiler. Underneath the shapely new bodywork is a prototype suspension with track-tuned springs and shocks as well as a Modulo sport exhaust system. Brembo brakes fill up 18-inch five-spoke alloys wrapped in Yokohama high-performance tires sized 235/40 at each corner. The upgrades don't stop there, however, as the interior got the aftermarket treatment as well. Recaro bucket seats cradle the driver and front passenger while a Momo steering wheel and NSX-R aluminum shift knob provide something to hold onto. Redesigned floor mats and a prototype interior finish off the cabin's high-performance theme.
Why Should You Care?
Acura may have labeled this TSX as a "concept" but you can expect to see a similar setup available when the official A-SPEC kit for the TSX shows up next year. It may not include Brembo brakes and Recaro seats, but the exterior mods aren't likely to change much. Ed Hellwig
