- The 2012 Acura TL sedan has been mildly restyled.

- The new TL goes on sale March 18.
TORRANCE, California — The 2012 Acura TL sedan gets a mild face-lift and a new six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission. The car goes on sale March 18, priced from $36,465.
Much of the restyling appears to be aimed at toning down the aggressive front end of the TL, which was completely overhauled for model year 2009. The 2012 model gets a revised grille, front bumper, headlamps and foglamps. The rear bumper and taillamps also have been updated.
The most significant mechanical change is the addition of a new six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission, which Acura says improves performance and fuel economy.
The all-wheel-drive TL SH-AWD is priced from $40,015. All prices include an $860 shipping charge.

all they had to do was copy the '04-'08 tl look on this bigger platform...PRESTO a hit..
i've been wanting to buy a new honda since 1989(almost bought a crx but dealer was arse and wanted $1k additional to add a/c...this to a car that was stickered at $9k.)...since then..honda always does SOMETHING to make sure i WONT buy it. i have a USED 2005 acura tl, the only car honda has ever made that is really nice looking....i guess i'll have to keep it a long time if this is the styling they are going with.

They should have also flattened and straightened the ugly faux front fender flare. The old beak was overwrought, but the front fender is the single most inconsistent styling element on the entire car.

$36k for this, no thanks - would spend it on another vehicle that offers great service.

Still ugly and still a Honda.
Two reasons we will all steer clear of it.
Leinerts will love it because its not American

Too little, too late. Its the fourth model year of the current design and the exterior of the TL is looking long in tooth even with the freshening. Looks pretty bland for a 36,000 car....I think a Malibu has nicer exterior lines. At one time I owned an 04 TL....still far better looking than the new model IMO. Sad statement....with eight years of progress. Acura better wake up...won't even be on my shopping list in two years when my Infiniti lease matures...unless something far better looking is offered.

When did Honda become Toyota? zzzzzzzzzzz Really great cars, just wish they'd get interesting on the exterior design. Maybe they should hire some guys of the guys from the Korean makers.

What a terribly unexciting vehicle. Its like a honda accord, only more expensive and- don't ask me how they did it- more plain. Gag me with a chainsaw.
