    What Is It?
    2004 Acura TL A-SPEC

    What's Special About It?
Acura isn't wasting any time promoting the newfound vitality of its all-new TL sedan. Already blessed with 270 horsepower and an available six-speed manual transmission, the TL A-SPEC ups the ante even further with an added dose of upgrade parts. Revised springs and shocks deliver more precise handling and a one-inch lower ride height. Unique lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels are also fitted along with Yokohama performance tires and upgraded brake pads on models equipped with an automatic transmission. A full body kit with extended body panels and a rear spoiler is also part of the package. No official pricing was released, but expect to see the A-SPEC package retail for around $5,000 plus installation when it goes on sale later this month.

    Why Should You Care?
Acura has slowly turned the rather pedestrian TL into a legitimate sport sedan. The A-SPEC package not only adds yet another dimension to the car's impressive performance repertoire, it gives the car a look to match. If you're looking for a fast entry-level sport sedan that's comfortable, too, the A-SPEC package makes the TL an even more tempting proposition. — Ed Hellwig
